Hello fashion lovers! Now that the fashion week has come to end I decided to blast you with some of the current and upcoming trends for this fall. I hope you enjoy it.

Attention! Keep scissors and sand paper nearby because this trend means DIY!! Now the hem lines and pant lines of anything denim have become extremely frayed and/or a-symmerical. These are convenient times for the DIY queens with an unsteady hand such as myself. Did you accidentally cut a hole? No worries! Now you can patch it up because, guess what? Patches are in, too.

Whoop, puffer jackets are back! I remember having one when I was little... Now the key is to find one with an exquisite texture, e.g. satin, metallics, or a cool print.

This season velvet has been seen especially in the shoes department. No item is off-limits when it comes to velvet.

The fashion winds are blowing from the 70's and 60's! In regard to clothes the emphasis leans on the 70's with flared pants making a comeback. Flares are not only limited to pants you can see frills and flares in most blouses. One of my favorite trends is the loafer that could be seen in the new Gucci collections as well as Tommy Hilfiger and Coach. I also found amazing pink and silver ones from Topshop! When it comes to 60's you will see a lot of kitten heels and flat shoes but most importantly a round toe with a Mary Jane strap. I also see the below knee boots as very 60's and 70's inspired, as they remind me of the go-go boots!! I cannot wait to experiment with all these new vintage vibes.

I love to wear this style with my velvet navy blue strap dress on top of a basic white t-shirt. However, it looks like I'm going to have to try it out with an edgier top.

Cut-out elbows

First, it was cut-out knees, now we have moved on to elbows. I actually find this trend quite fascinating and have been itching to get my hands on a thick knit jumper like this one.

This trend was already seen on Olivia Palermo as early as March but you can still see the military green taking over the color schemes of every store at the moment.

Anything sheer has become one of the current trends. Of course sheer fabrics have been present for quite a while but now it was seen on the runways as well as on the bloggers more than ever. A sheer piece is a must have for the upcoming fall. The more embroidered or embellished, the better!

Now that the weather is getting colder belts are seen especially over jackets. The pro way is to add layers and tie everything together with a belt.

The feline prints are here! I love especially love the feline print in accessories. Maybe one day I will be as brave as Giovanna Battaglia and throw on feline print statement pants. Interestingly, the feline print come back does not only cover the traditional print but also prints with literal cats. Meow!

70s Block heels & Military Greens

Wearing:
Shoes - Asos
The Green Duster - Find a similar one here

Ring ring, it's the 60s calling! They would like to get their shoes back, but guess what? We aren't having it. The ones that I am wearing (by ASOS) are clearly inspired by the current 70's low block hee trend. Yet the shoes also contain elements of the late 60s as the sharp toe suggests. The shoes are also giving me slight Céline vibes due to the rather narrow vamp/opening of the shoe, even though the Céline shoes do have a deeper V-cut. As someone who is obsessed with shoes sporting a sharp toe, you can guess that I am beyond excited sharp toed shoes are back stronger than ever and will probably be poor come winter due to a hundred new pairs of shoes.
Another recent trend that has been seen on the store front lately is the military greens and anything military related such as the military style bomber jackets. Thus, when I found this light military green duster jacket in the fall sales, I snagged it off of the racks immediately. Seriously, I swear it was lightning speed eye and hand made the connection...
That's it for now, and a more exhaustive list of the fall trends coming soon.

Kisses,
J
